Their Majesties bow heads in prayer   Their Majesties will be gracing the 2025 National Open Year Prayer Service, which is scheduled to take place at the Mandvulo Grand Hall in Lozitha Royal Palace. The service will be centered around the theme derived from Jeremiah 29:7, emphasizing the call for all to seek the welfare of the nation and pray to the Lord on its behalf. Before Their Majesties share the word of God with the congregation, distinguished speakers from the three major church mother bodies in the country will deliver sermons. ANGLICAN CHURCH AND BIKERS BRING JOY AND RELIEF TO MALINDZA RECEPTION CENTRE

  Members of the Anglican Church, alongside a dedicated group of bikers, visited the Malindza Reception Centre on Saturday, where they made generous donations of food and clothing.  A Day of Joy and Relief The group's generosity was evident in the donations of food and clothing, which will undoubtedly make a substantial difference in the daily lives of the refugees. Furthermore, the bikers and Anglican Church members took it upon themselves to prepare and serve a warm supper, providing a sense of comfort and home away from home for the residents. A Personal Connection Among the bikers were individuals who had personal connections to the struggles faced by asylum seekers. Refugees who fled Mozambique decades ago, specifically in 1971 and 1977, and currently reside in Siteki, having secured legal status in Eswatini, joined the group. US AMBASSADOR AND UN REPRESENTATIVE VISIT MALINDZA RECEPTION CENTRE AND NDZEVANE REFUGEE SETTLEMENT

The United States of America Ambassador and Regional Refugee Coordinator for Southern Africa, Mirna R. Torres, accompanied by a United Nations representative, recently visited the Malindza Reception Centre and Ndzevane Refugee Settlement to assess the situation and progress on ongoing projects. The visits aimed to address the influx of Mozambique asylum seekers and evaluate the readiness of the Ndzevane camp for housing families. Upon inspecting the renovations at Ndzevane, the delegation was pleased to report that the project is now 97% complete, with a projected completion date within the next two weeks. The United Nations invested E500,000.00 to facilitate the renovations, which will ultimately help alleviate overcrowding at Malindza Reception Centre. The main objective of the Ndzevane renovation project is to relocate refugees from Malindza to the newly improved camp.   The Malindza reception centre, which houses asylum seekers and refugees, received a significant donation of humanitarian aid this afternoon. The donation was made possible through the Lamakhosini Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Her Majesty's Correctional Service Commissioner General, LaMakhosini Phindile Dlamini. Commissioner General Dlamini, who celebrated her birthday today, chose to mark the occasion by giving back to the community. She visited the Malindza reception centre, where she presented the young girls with a range of essential items, including sanitary pads, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, roll-on's, storybooks, soccer balls, clothes, and toys. This initiative comes in response to an awareness campaign led by the Ministry of Home Affairs, which addresses the increasing number of asylum seekers from Mozambique arriving at the Malindza Reception Centre. The campaign, which took place yesterday, seeks to educate community members about the importance of monitoring and reporting new arrivals, particularly in light of the ongoing crisis in neighboring Mozambique. FARM SOLUTIONS DONATES ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES TO MALINDZA RECEPTION CENTRE

Farm Solutions, a company based in Malindza, visited the Malindza Reception Centre today, bringing much-needed supplies for asylum seekers residing in the facility.  The company’s donation included a substantial quantity of essential items: 40 one-liter bottles of Handy Andy cleaner, 40 one-liter bottles of dishwasher liquid, as well as 40 two-kilogram bags of rice and 40 two-kilogram bags of sugar beans. These goods are expected to significantly aid the daily living conditions of the resilient individuals currently seeking refuge at the center. Asylum seekers at the center often face many hardships, and donations like those from  Farm Solutions help ease their challenges, providing both practical support and a sense of community solidarity.
