weeding of Royal Fields and heralded the dawn of a new year for the Kingdom of
Eswatini.
The
ceremony reached its zenith with the burning of the sacred log, a deeply

Eswatini people. As the flames embraced the log, it symbolized the conclusion
of the sacred proceedings and heralded a period of rejuvenation and rebirth.
At 3

trumpet, heralding the onset of the traditional song and dance of umgumbo. His
Majesty King Mswati III actively participated in the joyous revelry, joining
regiments in the spirited dance that encapsulated the communal spirit of the
occasion.
Following
the vibrant song and dance, Indvuna Mangomani Ndzimandze took to the stage and

regiments eagerly anticipated the upcoming activities.

linger in the air, resonating with the timeless traditions and values that
