He commended the school's unwavering support for promoting education, particularly for marginalized communities.

"This handover of 12 laptops is not just a gesture of generosity; it is a gift of opportunity, dignity, and hope for our learners," said the Minister. She emphasized the importance of providing refugees with the tools necessary for academic success.

Jackie Otula, Principal of Waterford Kamhlaba, explained that the initiative is driven by students. "This project is about enabling members of the community who are less fortunate to access IT facilities and learn," she stated. Otula reiterated the project's focus on building hope and expressed gratitude to the students who dedicated their time and effort to ensure its success.

Phuc Ahn Hoang, a representative of Waterford students from Vietnam, shared insights about the project’s objectives. "Our aim is to provide learning spaces and an IT center for students at Mpaka, allowing them to access more educational materials online," he explained. Hoang emphasized that this initiative is ongoing, stating, "This is not the end; we are committed to continuing our efforts."

The donation of laptops marks a significant step forward in enhancing education for young refugees, fostering a sense of community and support that resonates beyond the classroom.
