HIS MAJESTY KING MSWATI III AND HER MAJESTY THE INDLOVUKAZI CELEBRATE DAY NINE OF THE LITTLE INCWALA
Their
Majesties, King Mswati III and Indlovukazi, continued the vibrant celebrations
of the little Incwala as they danced at the Mpumalanga, Ngabezweni, and
Ludzidzini Royal Residences. This year marks day nine of the sacred ceremony, a
significant cultural event in the Eswatini calendar.
His
Majesty led the song and dance from the Mpumalanga Royal Residence, where he
was joined by various regiments including lachwebetelako, imbali, lutsango, Khololo,
Paramedics and media. Meanwhile, Her Majesty, the Indlovukazi, led the
festivities from the Ludzidzini Royal Residence, captivating attendees with her
grace and strength.
The
little Incwala ceremony will soon transition to the northern Hhohho region,
where the King is set to commission the Ingatja to the Ngabezweni Royal
Residence. As part of this annual tradition, the commissioning of the Ingatja
signifies the end of the little Incwala and heralds the beginning of the main
Incwala ceremony. Following the commission, the Ingatja will journey to
Ngabezweni, awaiting further instructions from His Majesty on their next
assignment.
In
the coming days, anticipation builds for the main Incwala ceremony, expected to
draw even larger crowds and showcase the rich heritage of the Eswatini people.
